# GIA Longevity US

> GIA Longevity US is the U.S. Chapter of the Global Initiative on Ageing and Longevity (GIA Longevity), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 82-2995334). It convenes leaders across business, policy, science and philanthropy to co-design a society where living longer means living better — "a world built for a life well lived to 100 and beyond."

## Vision and mission

- Vision: A World Built for Longevity.
- Mission: To design a new society that empowers everyone to thrive throughout their longer lives.
- Tagline: Join us to make living longer, living better.

## The Longevity Gap (why now)

- By 2030, people over 60 will outnumber children under 5. By 2050, there will be more than 2 billion people over 65.
- Most products, services, workplaces and systems were designed for shorter lives.
- Older adults represent nearly $100 trillion in projected purchasing power.
- GIA Longevity US co-designs and innovates for aging at every stage of life, so longer lives become better lives.

## Our work: the LifeSpan framework

LifeSpan is GIA Longevity's comprehensive approach. Five interconnected spans make up a whole life:

- HealthSpan — Longevity is not just about living longer; it is about living better. Translating science and technology into accessible tools that enhance brain health and long-term productivity.
- WealthSpan — Economic security across a longer life requires new models and new partnerships. Strengthening financial security through literacy, innovative products and secure digital platforms designed for all ages.
- WorkSpan — The multigenerational workforce is an asset to activate. Intergenerational talent strategies, flexible work models and upskilling pathways for a changing labor market and long-term civic and social engagement.
- CareSpan — Care infrastructure is the invisible backbone of the longevity economy. Enhancing caregiver capacity and system performance through education, technology and redesigned service models.
- ThriveSpan — A longer life must be a meaningful life; purpose is a longevity factor. Enabling meaningful, inclusive, accessible and connected longer lives.

## How GIA Longevity US works: Advocate, Activate, Amplify

- Advocate — Reframe aging as the economic and social opportunity of our time, covering a lifespan; changing the narrative and eliminating ageism.
- Activate — Move from conversation to commitment by brokering the public-private partnerships that turn longevity vision into real-world strategy.
- Amplify — Scale what works by distributing proven innovations and thought leadership that transform how society approaches aging.
